Dental Insurance

Accidents and Dental Insurance

Under a dental insurance, the clams for routine insurance treatments range from one hundred and eighty ( 180 ) pounds to the maximum limit of three hundred ( 300 ) pounds per year but the cover for dental accidents starts from a minimum of three thousand ( 3,000 ) pounds and goes as high as seven thousand ( 7,000 ) pounds, for a minimum period of twenty four months.

It covers any and all injuries resulting from accidents, with the logical proviso that the said injury must not be self-inflicted. Treatment under dental insurance, in case of accidents includes, investigative x-rays, replacement veneers, implants and orthodontics.

As the price of these treatments is very high, and if an individual is not covered by a dental insurance, such high costs for treatment can be cited as a case of adding insult to injury. These treatments, as can be gauged by the figures mentioned above are very expensive and in most cases beyond the reach of an ordinary citizen, unless and until he is covered for these treatments by a dental insurance.

So, it would not be wrong to suggest that dental insurance is a great blessing, especially, in these times of high rate of unemployment and even higher inflation; low pays and high health care costs.
