The Pilates Method has become the benchmark for training the body and mind. Pilates can help relaxation and stress management, besides other considerable benefits.

Exercise techniques for the mind and body known as “Pilates” has exploded in popularity around the world during the past ten years. This technique, which was practiced by athletes and dancers for a long time, it is estimated that the United States alone about 5 million people now practice it regularly at home or in the gym. What is Pilates?
This technique was developed over seventy years ago by German athlete Joseph Pilates is an exercise system focused on improving flexibility and strength for the whole body without increasing its volume. The Pilates method can also be integrated as part of rehabilitation exercises or physical therapy programs, designed to recover more quickly from injury or to prevent certain tissues. They are modified versions of this technique, led by specialists.

Key elements of Pilates:

* Puts emphasis on fewer, more precise movements rather than the continuous repetition of an exercise.
* Strengthen the body axis abdomen, back and buttocks, allowing more freedom of movement of other body areas.
* Increased awareness and body control as the mind has to contact with the body movements.
* It focuses on breath control, together with the movements.
